Wedding Information

Our wedding will take place on July 11 and 13, 2008. The first ceremony will be at Alice Keck Park in Santa Barbara, and will be a small gathering of close family. The second part will be in Orange County and will feature a traditional Thai ceremony, lots of great food, and all our friends!

Suggested Attire

Female guests: Street-length tailored or semi-dressy dresses are all fine. It should be quite warm during the day, but it does get a bit chilly at night, so you'll want to bring jackets for the evening. In Santa Barbara, the celebrations will be held in the garden, so high heels (unless the heels are too wide to sink in the grass) are not recommended.

Male guests: suits and ties or sport jackets and slacks are fine.


Please note: at Thai weddings traditionally people dress a little more formally and they do not wear black or purple as these colors are reserved for mourning or funerals.

Things to do in Santa Barbara

State Street is the main location for all the great shops and restaurants. It's great for a nice stroll while you do some window shopping and sight-seeing. It ends at the Harbor, where you can find lots of beach activities such as sailing, kayaking and windsurfing.

The Santa Barbara Zoo, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and the Santa Barbara Natural History museum are also nice attractions.

Also, Solvang is about a 30-minute drive from us. Likewise, in nearby Santa Ynez, there are a lot of wineries (of the movie Sideways fame) for some fun wine-tasting while you're in town.

Driving Directions

To Alice Keck Park

From Los Angeles:
  1. Take the 101 North
  2. Exit at Mission St, turn Right
  3. Continue to Garden St, turn Right
  4. Alice Keck Park will be on the right between Arrellaga and Micheltorena Streets

We will be on the grassy knoll on the corner towards Garden and Arrellaga Streets.

From San Francisco:

Same as above, but take 101 South and turn Left after exiting at Mission St.


To the Keller residence

From Alice Keck Park
  1. Take Arrellaga to the 101 North
  2. Exit Patterson Ave, turn right
  3. Go to University Drive, turn right at the light
  4. Continue to Calle Aparejo (2nd Left), turn left
  5. Make the next left on Calle Asilo

Address is 5131 Calle Asilo, on the left where the street curves around


To the Gjestland residence

From LA/Santa Barbara/San Francisco
  1. Take the 5 freeway south (101 S to the 5 if you're in SB or SF)
  2. Exit La Paz, turn left
  3. Continue past Marguerite
  4. Go to Pacific Hills Drive, turn right
  5. Go to Parremo, turn left
