Brand New Toy….
I bought a new toy for light painting... I won't say what it is yet... I'll explain it later. I'm gonna be out nights all week seeing what I can do with it. These are from the first set of test shots.

So I'm still a sucker for old film cameras. I saw an old Nikon FE in the antique shop for only $50 - went and tried it out but unfortunately it was broken. But my interest was piqued... I wanted one, so I went and trolled ebay for a while and found a cheap one in black. Mmmmm, classic Nikon SLRs are pure sweetness. It's so well built - feels like a solid chunk of metal, and the shutter fires like a gun. The viewfinder is about 10 times the size of my (expensive-ass) D70's. If only they built digital SLRs like this...
Nikon FE, AF-Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D, Kodak E100s slide film
"World Leaders (with Crocodile)" Paint and collage on canvas, 2006
"Cave In" Vinyl on Aluminum, 2006
It sometimes pays to have a camera with you in the bathroom.
Just walking around the grocery store. I've been shooting a lot of wide angle B&W photojournalistic style stuff lately in an attempt to improve my all-round abilities...
