Africa. The only way i can think of to describe Nairobi would be to imagine downtown LA surrounded by Bombay-esque shantytowns. I've never seen such a blatant discrepancy between classes in such close proximity. Amazing.

But these are pictures of the nice, acceptable, National Geographic side of Africa cuz im in a good mood today.

(note- Jeremy got to climb kilimanjaro while i stayed in a hotel and read a lot. I think i had something like $100 left in my bank account by that point in the trip...)

Channel Islands, part 1

Went to Santa Cruz island Saturday with a couple good friends from college. Despite pretty rough seas on the way out, we had a blast. We saw humpback whales breaching (jumping clear out of the water- spectacular... unfortunately i was too seasick to look thru the viewfinder). These shots are from hiking around on the island.

First print run of the Hominids photo series is now up for sale in the PORTFOLIO section. Each print is mounted on 3/16" black Gatorfoam (rigid signboard), signed and numbered on reverse.

Server Switch

Hey, all... i'm switching my web hosting service over to MediaTemple. They offer a whole lot more space and bandwidth than my current provider, and a lot of extra features. Bear with me for the next few days, 'cause the site might be up and down a bit.

Ok, one of the first things you notice about india is that there are animals EVERYWHERE. Like in the streets, in the shops, in your hotel... and the all like to SHIT. It is a BAD IDEA to wear flip flops in india.
