Chicks dig scars.... right?

Q: What happens if you fall off of this rock:

?

A: If you're lucky, it might look something like this:

Both jeremy and I ended up with scars like these (this one's Jeremy). On separate occasions, we both managed to take lead falls towards the top of a climb, and catch the rope with the backs of our knees. Better than catching the rock with yr head, i suppose... Mine went right across the back of the knee, where the leg bends. Thus, every time i sat down for a while and stood back up, i ripped it wide open again. Took about a month to heal.

Rock climbing is FUN!!!

Thailand part 1

Ahh, Ton Sai. One of the highlights of the whole trip. Wake up at 7, huge breakfast, grab all the gear, be on the rock by 9. Some of the most beautiful rock climbing in the world, if you can take the heat. These pics are all from our favorite climb, "Fit to be Thai'd". You can see in the second picture that even the person holding the rope stands on a narrow ledge 150 feet above the water. And it's 90 feet up from there!

New series...

OK, i've finally gone through (most) of the pics from my trip around the world. I'm gonna start putting em up on this very blog for your viewing pleasure. The posts will be in chronological order, so you'll see thailand, india, africa, then europe. I'll kick it all off with before and after pics:

Operation Eden

Photographer 'Seige' blogs from the hurricane-torn gulf coast of Mississippi. Operation Eden is his account in words and gorgeous pictures of what's really going on there.

Isla Vista

Ahh, IV; one of the great college party towns of the world. I lived there for four years while attending UCSB. The whole town of 20,000 is on a cliff overlooking the beach. Here's a couple pics:

Blink

Y'all should all check out Blink. It's a photoblog run by a fellow burner (long live Playa dust!) and traveller. And the pics are quite nice as well... lots of great shots from thailand.

I particularly like this shot and this one... you just gotta love monks with weedeaters!

Underwater

If you haven't figured it out, i'm gonna start using this blog to put up pictures from my archives. I snapped this one with my old Canon A70 at the beach. It was in a shallow tide pool.

Not my fucking president...

Here he is, people.

53% of you morons voted for this nitwit. Happy?
